Technical requirements
On March 9, 2021, the Brazilian National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ANATEL) issued Act 1477. This bill allows the 5G NR band N78 to be tested and certified in Brazil. The bill will take effect on April 1, 2021.

Recently, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) announced that it will postpone the implementation of the temporary certification program for 5G user terminal equipment (CPE) for one year, starting from December 20, 2020.

• SIRIM certificate template update
Starting from February 2021, SIRIM Malaysia has updated the format of the certificate. Compared with the old certificate template, the new certificate template contains more detailed product information, including the wireless module information of the product and the product name at the time of shipment.

New standard for NBTC drones released
In March this year, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand issued a new technical standard for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), which will take effect on March 12, 2021.
In the new standard, drones supporting 24.05-24.25GHz radar function fall into the scope of Class A type certification (Class A), while the originally released 433.05-434.79MHz/2400-2500MHz/5725-5850MHz can still be maintained as SDoC.

The Kuwait Communications and Information Technology Authority (CITRA) recently issued the "V1.1 Technical Standard for ICT Equipment Connected to Public Telecommunication Networks".
